American Indian Advisory Council Meets at The Brinton Museum

Yesterday and this morning The Brinton Museum’s American Indian Advisory Council, of which the CAIRNS director is a member, gathered for its annual meeting. One of the highlights was a private viewing of a video-recorded talk by Arthur Amiotte about his maternal great grandparents Louisa and Standing Bear, pictured above in 1916. Standing Bear met Louisa while in Germany with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. Later he would create large muslin drawings of traditional Lakota life. One of his works is displayed in The Brinton Museum.
