Takuwe: A Gallery Talk with the CAIRNS Director is Now Online

This morning The Brinton Museum published online a gallery talk about Takuwe, the educational art exhibit about the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre. The announcement text states: “Dr. Craig Howe, Director of the Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies, gives an in-depth look at the ground-breaking exhibit TAKUWE. Originated by CAIRNS, the exhibit asks “Why?” in reference to Wounded Knee and the modern history of Lakotas. Dr. Howe goes into detail about these dramatic works by Lakota artists.” Press here to access the YouTube video. The exhibit is on display at The Brinton Museum through September 7; and admission is free.
