CAIRNS Director Visits Timber Lake & Area Museum

At the invitation of the Timber Lake & Area Historical Society, the CAIRNS director spent an afternoon in Timber Lake learning about the Timber Lake & Area Museum and some of its collections. The museum is an excellent example of dedicated people, both local and from as far away as the U.S. northwest, working tirelessly and contributing thoughtfully to build a vibrant art and history institution in the Cheyenne River Reservation. Four persons spent hours with the director, sharing history, tourism and artistic recources that were created in Timber Lake and the Cheyenne River Reservation area. From right to left, Kathy, Lori, Melody and Jeff (not shown) were the gracious hosts.
