CAIRNS Director Meets with Chair of NEA

Early this evening, the CAIRNS director rode to Mato Paha with the Chair of the National Endowment for the Arts, Dr. Maria Rosario Jackson (second from right in the photo above) to talk about Lakotan narratives related to the Black Hills generally and to Bear Butte specifically. Additional NEA staff (to Chair Jackson’s right) included Ascala, Allison, and Jen. Also joining us at Mato Paha was Lara.
