Chanpasapa Wi

This week’s CAIRNS Etanhan Wotanin column discusses today’s early morning full moon, called Chanpasapa Wi (Ripe Chokecherries), and the next Lakotan month, also called the same name. Referring to the Buechel dictionary, it examines other Lakotan words nearby the Chanpasapa Wi entry. The column, “Chanpasapa Wi,” can be read now by clicking here, or later this week in the Lakota Times newspaper.
