This morning’s presentation, “Verifying Reality in History,” was an invitation for the CAIRNS director to advocate for the Four Rs (Rigor, Reliability, Respect, and Relevance) that guide our work. The talk, with a dozen National Park Service superintendents and other managment leadership in this region, included a close review of the history of Lakotan lands and of the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre.
