The concluding presentation of the CAIRNS director’s Visiting Professorship Residency was a talk and reception at the Repair Atelier, a creative space envisioned by Markus Berger, professor in the Department of Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. The talk’s full title was “Re:Presenting Indians in Thoughts, Words and Designs.” Its focus was the director’s conceptualizing of the three permanent galleries of the National Museum of the American Indian’s Mall Museum in Washington, DC.
