Stacy Chicaushe with the South Dakota Humanities Coucil invited Caitlin Bordeaux and the CAIRNS director to talk about Lakotan astronomy and how this knowledge aligns with modern science and astronomy. The conversation was conducted as an hour-long webinar on Thursday. The CAIRNS director zoomed in from his car parked beside a coffee shop in Chadron, Nebraska. One point he wished to make was that the two knowledge systems are independent and serve different purposes and constiuencies. The webinar was recorded and is available online.
