Lukas (pictured above), associate professor of history at Brown University, and the CAIRNS director traveled to the School of Mines and Technology, in Rapid City SD, and the National Grasslands Visitor Center, in Wall SD, to conduct research related to developing a new exhibition featuring Brontotheres. It is an exciting initiative that is an outgrowth from their article, “Why Museums Should Repatriate Fossils,” published in the journal Nature last summer.
