The Carriers, the Mourners, and the Star That Stays In One Place

We have paused our biweekly CAIRNS Etanhan Wotanin columns, but do publish ones intermittently. This is one of those and it is about the second astronomy workshop that CAIRNS has hosted at our home base—Wingsprings. The workshop, which was held on September 6, focused on astronomical and Lakotan viewpoints and understandings of the Big Dipper and Polaris. The column, “The Carriers, the Mourners, and the Star That Star that Stays in One Place”, can be read now by clicking here, or later this week in the Lakota Times newspaper. The image above is from the presentation during the workshop.
