Inestimable Veterans

Today’s CAIRNS Etanhan Wotanin is two days before Memorial Day, the day we remember all veterans, but especially those who died serving our country. This morning the CAIRNS director placed forty-six US flags near the headstones of veterans buried in Inestimable Gift Cemetery, which is near the small town of Allen, in the Pass Creek District of Pine Ridge Reservation. Five of the veterans were buried in 1926 or earlier. In other words, one hundred years or more ago. See if you can identify them! You can read the column and find their names by clicking here.
